This alternative scene of Cloughmor in the snow is a conversation starter, whether displayed in your home or as a feature in an art collection. It evokes memories for those who have visited the landmark in person and sparks imaginative storytelling for others.

The snowy depiction of this iconic Northern Ireland landmark inspired me to create a painting that captures its enchanting winter atmosphere. According to local Irish folklore, Cloughmor, also known as the "Big Stone," was hurled onto Slieve Martin by a Scottish giant during a legendary battle with the Irish giant Fionn Mac Cumhail (Finn McCool).

This print serves as unique County Down landscape art, an ideal piece for lovers of Irish heritage, mythology, and nature-inspired artwork. The winter landscape is a nod to the scientific explanation that it was left on the mountain when the glacier melted.
