It was where the gentleman worked for years and met his wife. When they married, they bought one of the Mill houses you can see on the hill. Their Dad often recalled the football games the workers played at lunchtime.
Damolly Mill no longer exists but I located where it stood from a photo reference. I sketched the area as it is today before combining the memories of the past. It is at a junction where the Newry canal ran close to the Clanrye River.
