Just before Storm Darragh hit Kilkeel in 2024, the fishing vessels were secured closely together in the harbour. I painted this as the colourful line of fishing boats against a darkening sky, for me signified how the community have hope when the fishing industry is threatened. It was painted from a photograph as 30+ knot winds were forecast.
